This is the place to go for BBQ that I have found here in FL! If you think this place is sketch for cleanliness you are crazy, that is part of what makes a BBQ place a BBQ place. If you are one of these that must have rubber gloves touch all your food and always use the germ killing gel you are going to die young and don't deserve good BBQ. You must try the Prime Rib, it is absolutely fabulous, everything here is just amazing.

Ive passed this place a bunch of times but never tried it til now. It was great! The prime rib was huge and very good. Their chopped pork was also really good! I also thought the sides were fantastic, like the turnip greens, which i dont see top often. Be sure to check out the amazing bread pudding, that they make fresh all the time. Be aware that it is cash only. Also, its byob, so you could bring beer or wine in with you. I love the atmosphere. Super laid back and they make everything in the middle. Theyve been in hobe sound for 24 years! Cant believe its taken me this long to try it!

The barbeque smells good... until you see how it's all made. Sitting at a dining table the place is made of old wood, like an outdoor shed in the everglades, however the look fits... it's just dirty. Thick grease on walls etc. like when I used to Professional clean old people's houses that couldn't see their fingers left grime on kitchen cupboards too many times. I'm surprised the health department would let so much like this slide. The Owner? / Cook wore a tee shirt hanging over his shorts. He would frequently go outside, wipe his hands on his shirt, then touch the food with no gloves. He was coughing all over the place literally on the food and did NOT cover his mouth or cough into his sleeve. YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! I watched him literally pick up meat he sliced and put barbeque sauce on and carry it with bare hands over to the adjacent counter to a plate with bread on it who was not near to see. Stear clear of this place

Went on a Saturday around 5pm. The waitress was a bit brusk but as the meal went on she seemed to warm up or we got used to her...not sure. We had to wait for a table because frankly there aren't many tables for dining. This was understood and doesn't impact the rating. I got the brisket platter with mac n cheese and greens while my wife got the Number 2 platter...chicken, brisket and ribs with mac n cheese and cole slaw. It was a large portion for sure. The meal was solid. The flavor was solid but in all of the meats cases there just wasn't a lot of smokiness. Tender....absolutley. Smokey..not so much. We lived in Texas and have had our share of brisket and ribs. This brisket was very moist and tender and sliced as thin as I've ever seen. I just needed a little smokey chew with my brisket. The ribs were good and tasty and not the kind that fall off the bone which we were ok with. One of the patrons sitting next to us said we needed to come back and try the prime rib....he said he eats there often and the prime rib is killer. We will go back. I have had better BBQ but BBQ is one of those things that seem quite personal. I wouldn't talk this place up but again if a friend was Jonesing for BBQ I would suggest CW's and set expectations.

Yes, the place is totally sketch when it comes to cleanliness but the food is amazing. Every time I'm up North, I stop in because everything tastes awesome. Waitress is quirky, but nice. Just don't look around too closely and focus on your plate. You'll love it if you're a BBQ fan.

I love Cw's! I have eaten here many, many times and I've yet to be disappointed. Here's what I've eaten here: smoked prime rib, fresh snapper, scallops, smokes sausage, pork chops, lamb shanks and Chris makes some of the BEST soups I've ever eaten. Each meal comes with corn bread and 2 sides. I love the barbecue beans, potato salad, red bean and rice and turnip greens. The place is a dive and it's not the cleanest restaurant I've ever eaten in, but the food is amazing. If you aren't a clean freak and you want some GREAT smoked meat try C.W.'s. Oh, and don't forget to order the soup of the day; and it's cash only!
